Product description (quoted from manufacturer)
Ideon, designed and arranged by Takeya Takayuki, is now available as a high-end movable figure!
The threezeroX series is a high-end product line in which threezero collaborates with various artists from around the world to develop redesigned action figures in their own unique style. The collaboration with Takayuki Takeya resulted in the design, sculpting, and development of "threezeroX Takayuki Takeya Ideon" which took more than five years in total! The design and sculpting were done by world-renowned sculptor Takayuki Takeya. Based on the anime "Space Runaway Ideon" directed in 1980 by Yoshiyuki Tomino, known for "Mobile Suit Gundam", Takeya redesigned the main robot "Ideon" to emphasize the concept that it is a ruin created by the mysterious aliens known as the "Sixth Civilization" who disappeared long ago. To show that it is a product of technology far removed from that of humanity, Takeya scattered geometric patterns on the surface, which are unclear as to whether they are decorative or have a functional meaning. The overall form retains elements seen in the original anime design, but exaggerates them to express that it is the product of an alien civilization. Even after these creative redesigns, the distinctive red and color paintwork makes it instantly recognizable to anyone who sees it as "Ideon." "threezeroX Takeya Takayuki Ideon" is approximately 46cm tall including the shoulders (the height of the top of the head including the horns is approximately 42cm), and is a fully movable figure with over 125 movable points throughout the body, including the joints of the fingers. In order to achieve stable and reliable movement for a large figure, a die-cast metal frame is used inside. LED light-up gimmicks are installed in over five places, including the eyes, Ideon Gauge, and Ideon Sword release port on the wrist. The entire body is precisely painted to reproduce the painted model by Takeya. In addition, a special action stand designed by Takeya to match the Ideon body is included.
