This pre-production model was produced on a trial basis on a mass production line that was in the preparation stage, with the aim of improving productivity by using parts from the Gundam Ground Type. All of the armaments are shared with the Gundam Ground Type, but since the weapon container has been abolished, it was difficult to change equipment on the spot like with the Gundam Ground Type.
