Little Armory [LA080] XM177E2/M653 Type 1/12 [Plastic Model]

The XM177 series is a shortened version of the M16 assault rifle, which was adopted in limited quantities by the U.S. military in the 1960s.
It was developed for special forces, signalmen, and aircrews who found the long M16 inconvenient in the jungle warfare of Vietnam. It features a muzzle device with a suppressor structure called a moderator, which is equipped to suppress the increased firing sound and flame caused by the short barrel, and a retractable aluminum stock with a shape similar to that of the current M4 series.
The M653 is also a shortened version of the M16, but with a 14.5 inch barrel that can accommodate an M16 bayonet.

This product is a compatible kit that allows you to create either the XM177E2 or model 653 by selecting the barrel parts. The receiver area conforms to the M16A1, the old-style handguard that is slimmer than the M4, the characteristic muzzle, and other details are reproduced as much as possible.
