Little Armory [LA082] G3A3 Type 1/12 [Plastic Model]

A German-made 7.62mm caliber automatic rifle that was officially adopted by the former West German Army in 1959.

It has a rare mechanism for an assault rifle that uses recoil to load the next round, and is said to have higher accuracy than standard rifles that use propellant gas to load the next round. This mechanism was also inherited by the later high-precision masterpiece SMG "MP5".
The G3 was highly rated during the Cold War, and was adopted by 48 countries around the world, including NATO member states. It was produced under license in 14 countries, and became so popular that it was called one of the "four major assault rifles."
There are various derivative models, including the A4 type with a metal telescoping stock and the SG-1 type, which is a highly accurate sniper rifle.
This kit reproduces the fixed stock model "A3" type of G3. It comes with a selectable carrying handle, bayonet, rail mount, and bayonet. It also comes with the Z51 type night vision scope used by the West German army. It is reproduced using two molding colors.
