Little Armory [LA098] M27/38 Type 1/12 [Plastic Model]

The M27 is an improved version of the HK416, selected by the US Marine Corps as part of the IAR program to explore a new squad support weapon.
The M27, which is the same type as the rifle used by regular soldiers and boasts high accuracy, was adopted to address the weaknesses of the heavy M249 machine gunners, such as the lack of mobility and the vulnerability of the gunners to being a sniper. The Marines came up with the idea that the suppression power obtained by the loose reel of a light machine gun could be replaced by the high accuracy of firing each shot.
The M27 has proven itself through actual combat, and the M38, a rifle for select marksmen with a dedicated scope and suppressor to improve shooting accuracy, has also been procured. It is currently being deployed as the new main rifle to succeed the M4/M16.
This is a compatible kit that allows you to choose and assemble either the M27IAR squad support weapon or the M38SDMR special marksman rifle.
