Product description (quoted from manufacturer)
The first-generation Subaru Sambar, released in 1961, was a commercial vehicle that made use of the rear-engine, rear-wheel drive system developed for the Subaru 360, and featured a wide loading platform thanks to the cab-over style, which was rare at the time, and soft suspension.
Even after the model was redesigned in 1966, the above features were carried over as long as in-house production continued, and were elevated to the unique charm of the Sambar.
TLV released the first generation Sambar light van in 2006. This time, we will be adding a variation for the first time in a long time.
The LV-201a has been given a roof and signs to recreate the specifications of a mobile hot dog stand, which was often seen in tourist spots at the time. This type of hot dog stand is often based on the Sambar, so many people will remember it.
■Specifications: Die-cast miniature car (pre-painted and pre-assembled)
■Scale: 1/64
