The armor and antennae are reminiscent of crustaceans and insects.
The figure is sculpted to look like a living creature, with a spine that appears to have evolved from the human body.
Furthermore, Kamen Rider Kuuga Mighty Form is set as a form that controls fire, and incorporates the flickering of flames into its design.

The base features the enemy character "Go-Badar-Ba," whose design seems to be an homage to Kamen Rider.
