[About the M16A1 type]
The M16 is an assault rifle that uses small-caliber, high-velocity bullets and was adopted by the U.S. military in the 1960s. It was nicknamed the "Black Rifle" because of its all-black appearance, made of iron, aluminum, and plastic without any wooden parts. The A1 model was adopted by the Army and Marine Corps and improved on the problems that arose with the M16 shortly after it was introduced into combat. It features the addition of a forced bolt advancement device and a birdcage-type hider.
