From the "Yuji Sakai Sculpting Collection," a soft vinyl series sculpted and produced by Yuji Sakai, "Godzilla (2016) 4th Form" is now available as an Ortho Ver.!
The product is based on the garage kit prototype that Sakai announced in 2017, based on Godzilla that appears in the viaduct scene in the trailer for the film, which Sakai considers to be the coolest.
Now, to commemorate the release of the Blu-ray and DVD of "Shin Godzilla: Ortho," which was released for a limited time in 2023, we will be releasing the "Ortho Ver.", which has the entire body painted in monochrome.
Under the supervision of Yuji Sakai, each clear part is painted silver from the inside to give the appearance of a glowing body.
The image for this Godzilla (2016) Ortho Ver. was created by Sakai himself going to the film's location in Ogigadani, Kamakura, to take a photo taken from the same angle as in the movie, and then combining it with the "Godzilla (2016) 4th Form Ortho Ver."
Just like the first release, a master mold was used, which was created by converting his cast prototype into wax.
The products are made using materials molded solely from the master mold, minimizing wear and tear caused by turning them into soft vinyl and focusing on reproducing detail as much as possible.
