[About RPK74M]
The RPK is a light machine gun based on the AK assault rifle and was officially adopted by the Soviet Army in 1961. By using 7.62x39mm bullets, it was possible to share ammunition and magazines with the main rifle AK, contributing to the direct fire support of the squad and its operation. As time went on, when the main rifle was updated to the small-caliber AK74, the RPK was also updated to the RPK74, which uses 5.45x39mm bullets. The current model RPK74M is equipped with a reinforced resin stock and handguard.
