Kaiyodo ARTPLA Four Heavenly Kings Statue Tamonten [Plastic Model]
Kaiyodo ARTPLA Four Heavenly Kings Statue Tamonten [Plastic Model]
Product description (quoted from manufacturer)
Kaiyodo has produced numerous "hand-held replicas of the highest quality" that capture the unique features of works of art and statues through the precision and exquisite balance of their meticulous observational skills.
The second installment of Plamokei, which attempts to express this technology in injection kits to create three-dimensional "Buddha statues", has been released.
"Tamonten" holding a trident, raising a pagoda and looking up to the heavens has been made into a plastic model kit.
<Product introduction>
Of the Four Heavenly Kings, Tamonten is located north (left behind) from the main image, and is recreated in three dimensions with a total height of approximately 160 mm, giving it just the right presence and allowing you to appreciate the intricate details when you hold it in your hand.
Tamonten, also known as Bishamonten in Japan, is worshipped alone as the god of competitions and abundance, and is counted as one of the Seven Lucky Gods.
When placed as one of the Four Heavenly Kings, like other Buddhist statues, they are sculpted wearing costumes that combine the armor worn by military commanders during the Tang Dynasty in China and heavenly garments.
This item beautifully recreates the tranquil atmosphere of the actual Tamonten statue, with its gestures and facial expression as it holds the pagoda high in its hands, slightly opens its mouth, and looks up to the sky, giving the impression that there is something even more sacred before its eyes.
In addition to the three-pronged spear held in his right hand, which are essential elements of Tamonten, the roughly shaped pedestal, and the pagoda which is said to bring prosperity to those who hold it, the sculptures also express the subtle unevenness of the decoration on the surface of his armour, the different shapes of the waist armor on each side, and the different textures of materials such as cloth, leather and skin.
You can even experience the unique texture that has been created over a long period of time, something that can only be felt in a Buddhist statue.
To prevent the details and characteristic curves of each part from being crushed by the mold molding effect of the injection molding,
The parts have been skillfully divided to ensure that the figure will look beautiful when fully assembled, and even the finer details such as the ears and shoulder pads of the armor have been sculpted with high precision, faithfully expressing the intricacy of the original model in the plastic model.
In addition, by keeping the number of parts to a minimum, the statue of Tamonten can be assembled in a simple process. This is an item that allows you to easily enjoy the beautiful curves, meticulous craftsmanship, and the presence of a war god.
