[About the FA-MAS F1 type]
The FA-MAS is a French bullpup assault rifle. Its name is an acronym for "Fusil d' Assaut de la Manufacture d' Armes de Saint-Étienne" (assault rifle manufactured by the Saint-Étienne Arms Factory). Due to its unique shape, this rifle is also known as the Clarion (signal bugle).
The F1 type is the most standard model adopted by the entire French military. It has a cocking lever inside the large carrying handle that also serves as a sight, and is equipped with a folding bipod. The magazine can hold 25 rounds of 5.56mm bullets, equivalent to the M193.
