Product description (quoted from manufacturer)
*This product is a [large item].
The third installment of the "Ultimate Phantom Sculpture Series."
From "Gamera 3: The Awakening of Iris", a head model of "Gamera (1999)" is now available with an overwhelming and beautiful sculpture by Kokuryu Kobo, one of the most popular studios for monster sculptures.
About a year ago, in the winter of WF2022, Kokuryu Kobo, a company immensely popular for its monster garage kits, released this Gamera as a commemorative work for the 10th anniversary of Kokuryu Kobo.
This product, which attracted keen interest from monster fans, was sold by lottery in a limited run of five pre-painted, finished FRP figures, but it was so popular that all 120 tickets were sold out.
Due to production reasons, this Gamera head has never been produced again and has never been released as a garage kit. Now, CCP is releasing a Gamera that can truly be called the ultimate "phantom" sculpture.
The rough yet intricate details and beautiful silhouette of this figure are the work of sculptor Otaka of Kokuryu Koubou. The first impression that comes to mind is that it is "cool."
As the catchphrase "I will never forgive Gamera" suggests, Gamera in "The Awakening of Evil God" is even "scary." I think this film expresses the charm of Gamera to the fullest.
The "painted finished product" is a reproduction of the decomas made by Kokuryu Kobo. The decomas has glass eyes and other parts made of FRP, but the mass-produced version will be made of cast materials, so the impression may be slightly different.
The shape of the pedestal will also be changed. Until now, the drawback of these head model collections was that they could not be displayed facing forward unless they were fixed to the wall. CCP has taken this collector's psychology into consideration and will provide a new, snap-in pedestal.
The pieces do not have to be hung on the wall; they can be displayed facing forward anywhere, allowing you to enjoy displaying your collection in a way that suits your room.
It is a large prop-sized figure, the same scale as the head of a costume.
The rough yet intricate detail is reproduced in a way that is only possible with cast metal.
This Gamera head by Kokuryu Kobo can truly be called the "ultimate", so be sure to enjoy it in your hands.
