Little Armory [LA086] Type 38 Infantry Rifle 1/12 [Plastic Model]

This bolt-action rifle was Japan's official rifle for 40 years, from 1905 (Meiji 38) after the Russo-Japanese War until the end of World War II. It has a total length of 1276mm (1670mm with bayonet attached) and fires 6.5x50mm bullets.
It was developed by Nanbu Kijiro, a subordinate of Arisaka Shigeaki. Based on the previous Type 30 rifle, it had undergone improvements based on lessons learned from war, such as simplifying the bolt structure, adding safety measures, and adding a dust cover to protect against sand and dust.
This firearm was also highly regarded in the United States, where it had previously been used in combat, and many of these weapons went to America after the war and were used under the name Arisaka Type 38.
This product is a precise model of the Type 38 rifle based on research conducted at the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Weapons School. The bolt parts can be selected from six different types, depending on the form and whether or not the dust cover is included. The included Type 30 bayonet is removable. The rear sight can be raised or lowered. The molding colors are brown and black.
