Product description (quoted from manufacturer)
[LA092] M1A1 Bazooka Type
Having learned of the power of tanks during World War I and II, countries around the world sought various ways to counter them. Among these was the 2.36-inch Rocket Launcher M1, commonly known as the "Bazooka," an anti-tank weapon put into practical use by the United States in 1942.
This weapon, which had the power to destroy a tank by a single soldier, was so powerful that General Eisenhower, commander of the Allied forces, called it "one of the weapons that led to victory in the war."
The name "Bazooka" was given to the instrument because it resembled a bazooka prop used by stage performer Bob Burns.
This kit reproduces the later model of the M1A1 bazooka in 1/12 scale. Two types of rockets are included: the pointed M6A1 and the improved cylindrical M6A3. The molding colors are brown and black.
The box art is a new drawing by Hankonohito
